China's first self-developed 1.5MW direct-drive perpetual magnet wind turbine generator with independent intellectual property rights successfully came off the production line in Harbin Wind Power Equipment Holdings Co., Ltd on June 29. It’s expected to be installed and generate power in Zhangbei Power Plant in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province in this August.
The wind turbine generator with 43 tons in weight and 8.4m in diameter is jointly developed by Harbin Wind Power Equipment Holding Co., Ltd and Wind Power Technology Research Institute of Shenyang Industry University, which boasts the largest power among current domestic similar models. With the direct-drive permanent magnet VSCF toothless structure, it can change the rotation speed of the wind wheel according to the wind speed to automatically adjust the power of the generator. It’s successful completion has fully demonstrated that Heilongjiang Province is qualified with the self-independent capability of developing the main models of world wind turbine generators－direct-drive perpetual magnet wind turbine generator.
Reporters also learned that Harbin Wind Power Equipment Holding Co., Ltd will build a general assembly base with a gross investment of 180 million yuan in wind power park of the development zone. There is currently a wind power equipment assembly and machining plant with an area of 20,000 sqm under construction, and infrastructure construction is to be completed by the year end.
