On the morning of the 23rd of April, Datang Group and Electricite De France (EDF) held a signing ceremony in Henan on the joint investment contract for Datang Sanmenxia Power Station. This is the first cooperative project between he two companies, symbolizing a historical step in their cooperation.
Datang Sanmenxia Power Company Ltd owns two thermal power units of 600,000 KW. It was built with an investment ratio of 60% by Datang Group and 40% by Sanmenxia Municipal Construction and Investment Centre. After many rounds of negotiations and discussions, Datang Group, EDF and Sanmenxia Municipal Construction and Investment Centre have reached an agreement that the later will sell off 35% of the shares it owns to EDF. When the contract comes into effect, EDF will become the second largest share holders of Datang Sanmenxia Power Company Ltd.
