State Grid Corp. has urgently launched emergency response mechanism since earthquake suddenly hit Sichuan Province at 14:28 on May 12. At present, the main grid is running smoothly.
Up to now, State Grid Corp. has instructed all subsidiary units of Sichuan provincial power companies to do their best to assist local governments in disaster rescue and relief work. Meanwhile, the company heads at all levels have rushed to dispatch and command centers in an effort to understand the situation on disaster-affected grids and direct disaster relief work as soon as the earthquake happened.
State Grid Corp. required staff of power companies in disaster-affected areas to do self-rescue job while sticking to their posts to ensure the safe operation of power grids to the greatest extent.
According to the latest information at 18:00 from State Power Dispatching Center, the main grid of State Grid Corp. had been running smoothly and loss of load is gradually recovering. All subsidiary units are going all out for rescue and relief work in accordance with the contingency plan.
